How it works
We make it quick to reach a deck builder who works at your address.
You call or send a request
Tell us your town and what you have in mind: a new deck, a switch to composite, repairs to an old deck, new stairs or railings, or a roof or pergola over the deck.
We connect you with a local company
Calls and requests go to an independent deck builder that serves the Rapid City area.
The company handles the job
They quote, schedule and do the work. Pricing, warranties and terms come from them directly.
What we are and aren't
Rapid City Deck Builders is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.
South Dakota doesn't issue a statewide license for residential builders; the state's contractor's excise tax license is a tax license, not a trade credential. Inside city limits, the City of Rapid City licenses contractors and tells homeowners to make sure their contractor is licensed with the city. Most attached decks also need a building permit. Ask the builder for their city license (if you're in Rapid City), proof of insurance, who will pull the permit, and a written quote that lists materials, footings and warranty terms.
